This page on Satellite orbits is a FatMan18 production. It will contain info on how satellites stay in orbit and it will show some actual satellite orbits! I got all of this exciting information from my Modern Physics book, and a few web pages. Which are listed below.

ORBIT
|
Satellites can travel around the earth or around any other planet usually in a circular path. They do this by being launched into the atmosphere of the desired planet, and being caught by its gravitational pull.

|
TRACKING
|
Once the satellite is in orbit it is tracked by large dishes on earth. Information is sent from the satellite to these dishes by use of powerful lasers that are invisible to the human eye! But that is a wholel different part of physics.
